About the Hawaii Library Consortium

The Hawaii Library Consortium (HLC) is a state consortium of multi-type libraries and information specialists in the State of Hawaii. The organization developed from an informal meeting of library professionals in 2002. HLC was formally established and incorporated in 2002 to server Hawaii, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai islands. In 2003 the HLC will seek 501(c)3 status. Its purpose is to promote library and information services and coordinate resource sharing and information exchange amoung member institutions and individuals.
