Hawaii Library Consortium

The purpose of the Hawaii Library Consortium shall be to increase, enhance, and facilitate cooperation among libraries in the State of Hawaii through consortial purchasing of resources, expanding access to resources, and encouraging partnerships between and among member libraries.

Aloha HLC Members,

The Hawai`i Library Consortium's current subscription to the EBSCOhost database package will end on June 30, 2010. The selection process for the next statewide consortium database subscription has begun. Four vendors have accepted HLC's invitation to demonstrate their products and answer questions. The purpose of these vendor demonstrations is to reach as many librarians as possible in evaluating each vendor database. This will set the stage for live trials to be held in early 2009.
